I went to see U2 3D on St. Patrick’s Day. That is only the second time I’ve seen it. The first time around, I didn’t really love it. I enjoyed it much more this time. I think the first time I saw it, I was a bit sick of that tour, and perhaps not that interested in the 3D emphasis on theatrics. This time around, I appreciated the visuals much more. Though, honestly, I could have closed my eyes during my favorite parts – just focusing in on Edge’s guitar in New Year’s Day or Bono’s vocals in Miss Sarajevo – that will always be more interesting to me than 3D Bono doing his “I’m a bird flapping my wings” thing, or a bunch of letters flying around the screen during The Fly. Plus, the setlist, don’t get me started! Ha. Seriously, I did enjoy it and am glad I gave it a second chance. Even though, as a result, I now kind of miss Bono’s longer hair. Well, not his hair, really, so much as the way he used to run his hand through it. Okay, I’ll stop now …

And my u2.com subscription expires the end of this week. Now I’m hoping that they’re not holding my AH back on the account my subscription is expiring soon (being that AH was announced back in December!)
Or, I hope I don’t re-subscribe this week and they end up sending me two copies of AH … I may have to familiarize myself with eBay too.
I might be wrong but I don’t think you get the CD unless you renew. Though if you decide not to renew you should still be able to get the $5 off on your vinyl if you buy it before your sub expires. Gah, U2.com. I did receive an email from them last week that my CD was shipped. However, I do not have it yet.
I don’t know why they didn’t just make the tracks available for download right off u2.com. Sure, it’s nice to receive something physically in the mail but downloading would have been a lot simpler.
Don’t have a vinyl player so I guess I should renew (although I am intrigued by the Unknown Caller remix) … at least I get a discount this week. I was just wistfully remembering the days of Propaganda …
